The program

An educational opportunity for you to become involved in cutting-edge experimental or theoretical research under the guidance of scientists at the Weizmann Institute of Science, one of the top research institutions in the world.

Who may apply?

Undergraduate students from underrepresented groups

•Arabs, Ethiopian Israelis, Haredi, periphery, and first-generation students in higher education

•Students who are in their second, or third year studying physics, chemistry, life sciences, medicine, math and computer science.

Prerequisites

• Sincere interest in science
• Good English
•A point grade average of 85 and above

    The time frame

    As a participant you will join a research group at the Weizmann Institute of Science for a concise eight-week period during the summer months of 2023 (June-September). The exact starting point of your association with the research group, as well as what is expected of you in terms of practical activities, will be coordinated and agreed upon with the head of the research group.

    A commitment of eight weeks of continuous work is required, on the Weizmann campus in Rehovot, Subsidized housing- will be offered based on availability and needs.

    •Current official transcript of courses and grades;

    •Copy of ID card;

    •Letters of recommendation (an advantage);

        The procedure

        In the first stage, all candidates will be academically screened. An acceptance or rejection notice will be sent to everyone. Students admitted to the program will be invited to an orientation day where they will receive information about the program and assistance in electing a research group. Students admitted to the program will receive personal guidance.
